Price wise they are a little steep. Whats your thoughts on them?

Hi Guys Smile

Wondering which type of wiring you all use for the little bits of work you do...just run out of the last lot of wiring I had which I got from Halfords. Not sure if you all got a specific type. Sure it won't actually matter but thought I'd ask anyway Smile

Thanks

  Astra/Insignia VXR Pedals
Posted by: sheppy1 - 9:th-Apr-2015, 21:15:38 - Forum: Ebay Or Other Internet bargains - Replies (5)

Just came across these VXR pedals which fit the Astra J:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Insig...6016.l4276

This price is around about the standard price for what these sell for second hand but I know there aren't always many on eBay and sometimes they do sell for a fair bit more. I've purchased from this person before and if you message him and ask him to lower the price a little bit he probably will do.

  Front wiper nightmare
Posted by: Jj0063 - 7:th-Apr-2015, 21:21:19 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (14)

Hi guys,

I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to source replacement wipers for my 60 plate Astra J.

I've had three sets so far, all A585S Bosch Aerotwins.

They have clips as per below, not what my current Bosch wipers have.

[Image: 4EED5F22-7B75-4B52-B5EE-1A6A7F82EE9B_zpsqx7igu84.jpg]

They will fit, but they don't clip into place, they just don't slide down enough.

Anyone else had this issue? The box even has my car written on it to say they are a direct fit... Help!

Ps, Tried Vauxhall.. They want £70 for a pair of blades!
Cheers

  Chrome Window Trim
Posted by: sheppy1 - 7:th-Apr-2015, 11:09:15 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (30)

Hi Guys,

So one of the things I am looking to do this month is install the chrome window trim so that it looks like the standard trim on the higher models...But from what I can tell the official trim has sort of a metal looks to it and it's not really chrome/shiny. Does anyone think the chrome looking trim which I'd be getting would look the same or just tacky?

Thanks Smile

  Astra J Paint Colour
Posted by: sheppy1 - 6:th-Apr-2015, 21:25:09 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (4)

Have two questions here if anyone is able to answers them:

1. Is the technical grey paint colour known by any other name? I know that VX just change the name of colours but they actually are the same paint colour.

2. What's the best way of removing scratches from the paint work? I have a few which don't feel deep and are white in colour...These the type that come out easy?

Thanks Smile
