How to front and rear brake pads removal.

Just thought I'd put this up as we don't have one yet.

Jack up and remove wheel from the car to gain access to brake.

Next take out the guide bolt from the bottom 10mm

Price of pads
Hey guys, anyone know off top of their head price of front pads for 12plate 1.7sri?
Having same noise as I did on my vectra - full steering lock reversing then brake and hear a loud noise like metal bending effect so think its time to change pads.

Vauxhall brake pads
So just had my second service just under 12300 miles covered mostly motorway & I've had to have new front pads.

WTF, never have brake pads worn so fast and I'm a driver that uses engine braking.

What at are other people's thoughts on the Pads?

I've replaced mine with Delphi ones I know Delphi make them for Vauxhall but I hope they are better.

Break Pads and Discs
Hi Guys [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

So I need some new rear break pads and discs and vauxhall have quoted me £262.20 for them. Seems a little steep so thought I'd look around myself.

Anyone either know which brand they use or which good brand I should be using if I'm looking to buy them myself and have them fitted?

Thanks

GTC 2.0 cdti front pads
Gents

Just nipped down local factors to purchase front brake pads for my `62` GTC 2.0 cdti.

Unfortunately they list 3 sizes against my reg `DU62 CYW`

142 x 66 - 148 x 6.5 - 148 x 61.2(mm)

I'm an ex Audi Sport mechanic so its an hours work but will be made longer by having to remove, measure back to factors etc etc

Can anyone help with sizes please

Would be appreciated, great forum by the way (and decent car too)

Changing rear pads
Going To attempt this on the weekend, I've neglected my rear brakes to the point I have no material left (approx 2-3mm I think) and my brakes are making one hell of a noise when braking hard.
I'll follow the how to that's on here (great guide, I did the front ones following it) do I need a winding tool? As I've not got one ☹️
