Navi 950 instead of CD400 + parking sensors
#1
Greetings everyone

I would like to know if it would be possible to retro-fit the Navi 950 to my astra J sports tourer SE instead of the CD400,I have seen on this forum that there are certain people that offer this service but what really grindes me up is, would it be possible to retro-fit parking sensors and have it display the distance just as factory wise?

and also if reverse camera retro-fit is possible with the navi 950 .

best wishes

Daniel

Yes Navi950 is 100% possible as is rear camera.

As to parking senors they come up on the centre screen off the speedo (depending on screen and configuration).
In addition to this you can also have warning triangles on the rear sensor come up when rear cam is engaged but this doesn't display any distance.

Retrofitted AFL, TPMS, Navi950, BT, DAB, Rear Camera, Infinity sound system, Towbar, Flexfloor & more.
I can do programming and retrofits using genuine GM MDI and Dealer software.

Greetings Rusty!

And thank you for the reply!.I was rather sceptic, about buying a navi950 kit off ebay ,as I've read adapting it to cd400 would be imposible, but I've read quite a few topic here and know that's it's possible to retrofit it hehe.It is such a big difference between navi900 and 950?.

Is there anything special I'll need to look if I were to buy a navi off the internet?.Oh and any idea if it can support Android auto? thanks.

the 950 has built in BT and audio streaming, it's also a newer unit which is better.

If you went down the 900 route you need to make sure it comes with the SD card reader & usb & BT module.

If you went the 950 you want to see if you can get the USB with it (not a major thing if it doesn't).

None of the units support android auto.

My GTC was upgraded from a CD400+ to a Navi 950 with OEM reversing camera, expertly fitted by Rusty who have done quite a bit work involving upgrades on my Astra J & now my GTC that I have owned, Rusty is highly recommended by myself & other members of this forum DanielG.

No doubt a Navi 950 will turn up soon on ebay, that how I got mine, otherwise you could try megavaux.co.uk, southwest vauxhallspares.co.uk or 1stchoice.co.uk, to name just a few.

The 950's are hard to come by and when you find one you need to jump on it.

650 has no built in BT & no streaming, also no voice control.

Indeed I did get a good deal, took the VXR leather seats as well from the same car.

exactly what I did with their 2016 vxr, except I bought the seats first, then the radio and reversing sensors, then the dash loom, then the roof loom and finally a spare wheel lol

Do you have any pics of it fitted, bet it looks good

I got them posted on vauxhall astra j/GTC vxr owners site on facebook, I did try to download on this site but I am still baffled of how to post up the pictures.
