GTC Space saver
#1
I have recently acquired a GTC 2.0 cdti, and I'm one of those that would rather have a real wheel rather than a compressor and rubber solution! The full size wheel will not fit into the boot space and thus a space saver is required. Can anyone offer advice and comment please?
Part number, possible suppliers, what to look out for and such. I've been to the wheel spec website and have the tech specs such as pcd, centre diameter (a good site to look at by the way...)

Hi

I have a space saver (17 inches) downfall being that you can't drive over 50mph, tyre dimensions are half the size of the full tyre & you can only put them on the rear wheels only but I suppose it is a spare wheel, I did measure up my 18 inches Alloy wheels but as you said it definitely doesn't fit & the height when laid down flat would leave a bulge in the boot carpet.

I got mine from a 2.0CDTI Astra for my GTC, just remember what Mark said and ensure its a 17" one

I am also looking for a space saver wheel for my GTC. I’ve got the 20” alloys. Which space saver wheels will fit? Is it just the 17” ones from either an Astra 5 door or a GTC or will one from say a vectra fit?

Thanks

Hi Craig

Due to size of the boot well then only a 17 Inch space saver will fit as a normal full size wouldn't fit in the well.

Totally different SS wheel on the Vectra. The tyre itself on the Vectra SS is 16", but is the same size as the standard Astra-J one.
