Hi
i have a 5 door hatch and i find the hatch is digging into the rear bumper, is the boot hatch fitted wrong or has the car been in an accident and bumper is fitted too high

There should be a slight gap between.

as rusty says, its hard to tell without pictures
it is possible that its had a small bump to the rear as this can sometimes distort the plastic bumper, even a small "nudge" while parking can cause this, usually fairly easy to sort.
