I like the classics but I'm afraid it's the Ford kind.

I am taking delivery of an 85 Capri in the next couple of weeks for a project.

well for those who are interested this is what I have bought.

It is a long term project as you can see it needs a lot of work.

As for engine I haven't decided yet it had a 2ltr in it but I like the idea of making how it should have been made and stick a ford 302.

Always think keeping these cars original they get far more ££'s in the long run.

I hope you will do a progress thread on the restoration as much as I dislike Ford's the Capri is one that I do like.

Looks class. Have you much rust to take care of? Im getting a bit of work done to the chevette over the summer and keeping it all original apart from the alloys as you can see in the picture

Rusty I'm not look at making it worth ££'s in the long run I held off buying one till I found on the same age as me. I know its sad but I always wanted one they year I was born so my plan is to never sell it. Wife might get other ideas but she will be told she goes before it lol.

Rust wise it isn't too bad the normal spots on these like A pillars which aren't too bad but I wont know till I start working on it next year.

As we speak the car is getting collected from the seller then making its way up to me.

The only pics I have are from the seller but I will get my own ones done once delivered and start the build thread, please be kind I know its a Ford but it will be the one Ford should have made lol.
