diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - mrtc - 9:th-Jun-2016 seen this, i wonder how long the finnish would last, wwonder how easy it is to do? http://www.mydipkit.com/index.html There are loads of kits availible from the uk. Or would it be best left to the pros Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk RE: diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - bruce_19 - 9:th-Jun-2016 I think it will depend on your skill level if you are fairly good at painting, warping ect then I would give it a bash. But it also would depend on costs to purchase and do it yourself and costs for the pros to do it. RE: diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - tucpal - 9:th-Jun-2016 Very easy to do but you must use clear coat to protect it RE: diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - mrtc - 9:th-Jun-2016 would brushed alloy look good on window switches surrounds? RE: diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - tucpal - 9:th-Jun-2016 well thats personal taste i had some carbon dipped door handles on my old mk5 they looked very good and lasted very well also i did not dip them my self but the process is easy to do at home for sure RE: diy hydro dipping kit, how hard could it be lol - Shorty S91 - 9:th-Jun-2016 its one of those things its all about technique after dipping and the cleaning and prep work. just need a steady hand for dipping. hardest part will be getting a perfect finish with the lacquer best thing to do is go for it and give it a go mate thats how I learned most things haha |
