Newbie requires some help - Phild82 - 31:st-Jan-2016

Hi to all new to this and looking for a bit of help my Astra 2011 1.7cdti sri(125) cut out on me the other day and then wouldn't start so I had a friend look at it and he seems to think that the fuel is getting returned to the tank and not getting to the engine he thinks it's maybe the pump or fuel sender after reading on here I realised the turkey noise I have been hearing for about 6 months now is a common problem with the 1.7 cdti could it just be the filter I need to change or am I looking at a more expensive repair

Welcome to VXOC yes the 1.7 does seem to suffer from turkey noise. IIRC the Drev's don't have a fuel pump as it's all done via high pressure.

Just looked and it does the 1.7 has a Denso HP 3 pump.
