Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
A few months ago I bought a new Opel Astra GTC Sport 1.6T here in Australia after Opel withdrew from the market and Holden took over the warranty and servicing. Prices were dramatically reduced. One of the things that I noticed is that it does not have a shield beneath the engine bay, for aerodynamics, like my other vehicles. Do European cars have this?

Hello, Just a short post to intoduce myself. I have just become the proud owner of a 12 plate Astra GTC SRI 1.6T in white. It has Nav600 system fitted, 19" wheels and front/rear parking sensors. It's go to be the best car I have ever owned. The performance is deceptive as it is so quiet and smooth in it's delivery. At first I thought it was no quicker than my old Corsa D 1.7CDTI which had great low down torque but I have got the hang of dropping a gear in the Astra and then it pulls ! I look forward to reading other member's experiences with these cars.
Anyone throw any ideas at me.
My brakes are noisy so I'm going to change the discs in a few days.
But when I stop driving forward and reverse say onto my drive when I brake I hear a click like something has become unstuck.
Only happens when I reverse from moving forward and only does it once.
Doesn't do it when I go from reverse to forward but when I reverse again.
I've take the wheel off to see if the disc plate is rubbing or the pads not sitting right but seems ok.
Anything to look for when i get the discs off?
