  Members use of the forum
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 2:nd-Jan-2015, 11:42:14 - Forum: Site updates - Replies (2)

Today I have implemented some changes to the forum.

I have removed all additional usergroups and removed the promotions structure for new users.
You are all simply Registered users unless you have paid the membership fee, or made a donation.

If you want to sale an item you need to be a paid member, access to the downloadable how-to's also requires you to be a paid member.

The way guests can view a site has also changed for the better giving them almost the access as a member.

  Membership fee / Traders fee
Posted by: Rusty2009 - 2:nd-Jan-2015, 11:32:43 - Forum: Site updates - Replies (1)

We have now decided to charge a membership fee.

This is a minimal fee of £5 per year which will go towards site running costs.
As a Paid Member you will get the following as a thank-you.

500 PM Inbox/outbox with use of PM tracking.
Send upto 10 PM'S at once.
Custom user title.
Profile Picture of 125x125px This includes Animated.
Custom Avatar 100x100px This includes Animated.
Signature 600x200px This includes Animated.
Profile customization.
Ad free browsing.

You will also gain access to the Downloadable how-to's.
Also you will be able to post threads in the for sale sections of the forum.

We have opted away from membership packs purely to keep costs down for our members and we don't really want to send our members cheap rubbish.

We hope members will respect this decision and understand that the site needs to support it's self.

For traders we are charging a fee of £10.00 per year.

Update 08/02/2016*
To subscribe is really simple.

Click the subscription tab on the tool bar at the far right.

Then for normal subscriber click then subscribe button that will take you to paypal.

For traders once your have been approved you just select the subscribe button of traders and it will take you to paypal

This will set up an auto payment for for each year, so if you don't want it to auto renew you will need to cancel it from within your paypal acc.

  Fuses
Posted by: richje100 - 31:st-Dec-2014, 15:29:08 - Forum: Astra-J/GTC - Replies (4)

Hi guys,
Today my washers wouldn't work so checked the fuse in the engine bay and it had blown.
Tried a few places to get a new fuse but no joy, only tried walking distance tho lol.
So I thought, on my vectra the fuse box had some spares.
Looked at the book with the fuse diagrams and looked in the boot, I needed a small 10amp fuse.
Under location 7 was blank in the book but a red fuse in there.
I've taken it out and put in the washer space and it worked.
I want to know if the books are correct and the fuses are not trim specific etc....
No lights on the dash came up just wanted to make sure I hadn't stopped anything working.
