Navi 950 with touch screen info

We can enable touch screen rear camera and DAB+ with a Chevy theme quite nicely.

For this you need a screen with the following part number 22851302

There are 4 extra wires needed for touchscreen as detailed below, The white & blue are shielded with the black being the drain.

Please note the Android auto / car play is an added feature which is a separate module and not enabled via just adding a touch screen and the programming to enable touch screen.

I can now confirm that my unit is fitted too. After a few quirks and throwing my dummy out the pram like a petulant child. It's a great piece of kit. Properly modernised the head unit and touch screen is a great addition.

Cameras next then I will get some pics up. Who would have thought a 2011 astra be so modern lol.

Hello guys, could you please give more info how you enable the touch?  Is it just VCI for the new screen or you need to flash the Navi with chevrolet firmware which supports touch? If so is it available somewhere for download and is it compatible with everything in Opel/Vauxhall cars?


btw I was trying to reverse engineer the navi 950 firmware to find any traces of AA/CarPlay (so far none found), so this is very interesting topic.


Do you know what is the module that enables AA/CarPlay on the video?

The radio needs to be programmed with the calibration files for touch screen. 

I had to get a custom VCI code made for mine (NOT BY GM AS GM won't support it) but going down the custom VCI code route it leaves you able to select the following options.
Chevy / Vauxhall or Opel theme (VXR/OPC)
Rear camera with or without guide lines
DAB+ or no DAB+
Infinity sound or standard.
Control type IE Astra, Insignia, Mokka, Zafira or Meriva.

The only thing I found was missing was the option to turn the rear camera on/off within the settings which is being worked on to reenable.

it works with everything on vauxhall Opel.

The 650/950 Never supported AA/carplay I do think they intensions where there for it.

So is this the only way to get Android Auto on the stock headunit/fascia? I have a Navi 950, and my end goal would be to have Android Auto running on it (Not just an Android Headunit)

How much total would be to have the whole solution sourced, fitted (might be able to do these myself) and most importantly programmed?

It is the only way other than android head unit.

Your 950 can be reprogrammed for touch then you need touch screen and a little bit of wiring plus the module.
