I have a problem with high idle. I replaced the scv this weekend but still the same problem. It's not constant but sometimes idle goes to constant 1,200 even when engine is hot. If I switch car off and restart again it goes to high idle.


From some reasearch someone mentioned alternator problems could some shed some light on this problem please ?

Scv rotation position does it make a difference ?

I'm attempting to retrofit a Navi950 to a 63 plate Astra-J diesel.

I'm aware the NAVI600/900 the VIN was simply stored in EEPROM, obviously VCI isn't an option given its from the incorrect MY.

Does anyone know where the VIN is stored on these units for reprogramming for a retrofit, is it in a 24C16 or something?

I am retrofitting the Navi650 to my parents 63 plate J. I know on other generations of the CD units and some later stuff you could change the VIN in a 256bit eeprom, does anyone know if the applies to the Navi650/950?

I'm not sure if the VIN is in FLASH or EEprom to retrofit it.

Morning fellas. Just noticed smoke coming from the bonnet my car this morning on my way to work. So I stopped. There’s some water-like liquid all over the engine. Anyone know what this is? Thanks.

I thought i'd say hi, new to the forum I bought my 2.0 cdti sri about 6 months ago to use as my commute car, getting great returns on fuel at around 60 mpg, most of the 60 mile commute is m/way. fitted a tdi tuning box which increased mpg by about 5% and made power delivery better.
looking forward to getting involved in the forum and passing on any knowledge of any help.

So after picking my Astra Elite up today and discovered there's no Bluetooth, I was wondering what other options everyone has used?

I am looking at Bluetooth Jack devices, however I noticed it's a bit of a tight squeeze for some devices.

I want to be able to answer and end calls play, pause and skip music but without lengthy wires all over the dash or by the gear box. Suggestions??

I think I've spent a fair few hours looking at Amazon, eBay and You Tube for the best device and still none the wiser!!!

Previously used an FM transmitter in my old car which worked well, but want a cleaner option.

Hi, please could you help me locate the body control module for my Astra 2012? I’ve removed the glove box but cannot see anything that resembles it. My electrics are all buggered, lights, warning msg, wipers, central locking. Any help would be appreciated
